What use does Vivint video surveillance have? Vivint, a firm that deals predominately with home security, advertises this as a must have for anyone who is concerned with the security of their property but is it really worth the money?

Well, in a nutshell, the answer is yes. While you would not have found many homes 10 years ago that had a CCTV system installed it is becoming much more common in this day and age and people are turning to video surveillance as a means to protect their property. Firms like Vivint specialize in this market and have been active in home security for over 10 years so they certainly know what they are doing. Indeed, CCTV is a great deterrent for crime. A potential burglar is far less likely to try and break into a property that has CCTV as there is a much higher chance of being caught so they will attempt to avoid the house altogether and even if they do try and break in then everything is recorded. Vivint can offer personal security solutions to almost any home and Vivint itself has been arguing for the need for more homes to have video surveillance as a way in which to help protect themselves and their property.

When we are approached by a charity or see it advertised on the internet then we usually do not have much reason to think that it is a rip off or to doubt its authenticity. However, this is quite a naïve view to take and many people have been the victim of a rip off recently with scam charities that have been conning people out of their money.

It is said that millions every year is donated to these rip off charities and they continually get away without being brought to account. You would think that the internet is the best place to find rip off charities however many exists simply by posting leaflets through your door and it is not always money that is the center of the rip off. A lot of the rip offs come from clothing collections and if you have ever donated clothes – either to a shop or by someone collecting door to door – then it is guaranteed that some of these clothes never reach the charity that they are supposed to. The ‘charities’ that are a rip off are few and far between however they do exists and some simple research on the internet will be able to tell you what ones that real and which a bogus.
